What is an admission ticket?

A record or credential representing permission to enter, travel, occupy a place, or participate under stated conditions.

What is a box office?

Historically, the place and administrative function where event availability, payment, seat allocation, and ticket issue were managed.

What is the primary market?

The first authorized sale or allocation of a ticket by an organizer, venue, issuer, or appointed seller.

What is the secondary market?

A later exchange in which an already allocated ticket is transferred or resold, through informal, brokered, marketplace, or issuer-controlled channels.

What is ticket provenance?

The documented history of where a ticket or admission right originated and how control changed afterward.

Did digital tickets replace tickets?

They replaced many physical forms, but the underlying ticket remains a record of access. It is increasingly held in a database rather than on a permanent piece of paper.

Does a barcode prove a ticket is genuine?

A barcode links a presented code to a scanning system. Its presence alone does not explain origin, ownership, transfer permission, or current status.

Does TicketBridge sell or authenticate tickets?

No. TicketBridge is an educational publication and does not sell, buy, transfer, reserve, value, or authenticate tickets.
